Breakfast & Brunch, Quick & Easy

Kaya Butter Crispbread

This has been my breakfast for the past couple of days. Kaya and butter smeared gorgeously on wholegrain rye crispbread. This is my lazy version of kaya toast. It’s that simple yet sinful and healthy at the same time. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry due to the crazy rich toppings I put there.

Multi-Grain Crispbread
Bought this Ryvita to try. Aimed to be healthy. But I think I fail miserably. I can only think of putting anything sweet on it.

Kaya Butter Crispbread
To make kaya butter crispbread, spread a generous amount of butter on the crispbread follow by kaya. I bought this kaya from Yut Kee Restaurant. Despite looking crumbly (regular kaya is paste-ly smooth), the kaya is fragrant and delish.

Now come on, grab a bite while I’m not looking! 😉

Hi Chee Kuan, you can buy at Jaya Grocer, Cold Storage or Ikea foodstore. Supermarket that carries international brands will have this I suppose.
