Allow me to introduce you to a REAL superfood. No, it’s not spirulina, moringa or acai berries. Personally, I don’t believe in these. The real superfood I’m talking about is just right in front of us. One that we eat on a regular basis. It’s an egg. 🥚 Precisely, what I really mean is raw egg!
I know what you’re thinking because I had the same school of thoughts previously. That raw egg is disgusting and slimy… ewwwwwww and what if I get bacterial infection/stomach discomfort of some sort by eating it raw? For the past 3 years, I’ve been drinking this superfood concoction of raw eggs banana smoothie without any ill effects while at the same time I’d ~3 or 4 rounds of food poisoning from outside’s cooked food. I think this speaks for itself.
Why raw eggs is a superfood in my book? Egg contains protein, fats, vitamins, enzymes, etc that is bioavailable in its raw and unadulterated form. Upon ingestion, the fat-soluble nutrients are absorbed by the cells instantly for building, regeneration and healing.
Raw eggs banana smoothie is nutrient-dense and delicious!
By blending raw eggs with banana, the slimy texture and raw smell of the eggs cannot be detected anymore. I eat the egg raw and whole because I believe nature does not make mistakes. With the addition of raw milk (also a superfood by itself) or plain whole yogurt and organic extra virgin coconut oil, this raw eggs banana smoothie is a complete meal. You can have it for breakfast and/or dinner. This smoothie has the ability to keep me full for up to 6-8 hours. In a month, I can go through ~60 to 90 eggs. Whether you’re eating the eggs raw or cooked, always choose pasture-raised and organic eggs. It’s important to know everything about the chicken and egg (no pun intended). Get to know the farmer, the chicken’s living condition and diet, etc. I know it’s difficult to source good quality eggs. When I’m not able to find good ones, I resort to conventional eggs. I don’t suggest you do. I always approach it with caution and judgment and bless the food (by being grateful we will rearrange the structure of any forms). This may sound crazy to most of you. There are news and articles that mentioned egg white is bad and thus eat only the yolk. But hey, the yolk is high in cholesterol, so don’t eat egg at all. Yes, the egg is rich in cholesterol. But cholesterol is not something to be fear unlike what we’ve been told (that it’s the cause of heart disease). Cholesterol is found in our body and used by our body for reasons. Please search for “cholesterol myth” in a search engine other than g00gle to learn more. Lastly, please do not eat pasteurized egg.
Let’s make raw eggs banana smoothie!
Add two frozen banana in a cup and crack two eggs into it. This recipe uses hand blender. If you’re using a blender, add them to it. It’s best to use room temperature banana but I can’t help liking frozen banana in my raw eggs smoothie. Also, love the texture of the coconut oil when it turns solid due to the cold smoothie. You’ll see. 😉
Next, add raw milk. If you don’t have raw milk, use plain whole yogurt instead.
If you have bee pollen, add it. This is an optional ingredient.
I read that the correct way to eat bee pollen is to ground it so that it’s digestible. To do so, simply put a teaspoon of bee pollen on your palm and crush it with your fingers or use a pestle and mortar. The idea is to turn it into powder. Add the crushed bee pollen to the cup. Update: Tsk, I stopped crushing the bee pollen after a while as I find it bothersome. I just eat it whole like I usually do. Haha
Then, use a hand blender or regular blender and blend until all the ingredients are well-blended. Next, add organic extra virgin coconut oil and apple cider vinegar with the mother. Mix well with a wooden or ceramic spoon. I also add Lugol’s solution of iodine (optional). Lastly, sprinkle some crushed bee pollen on the smoothie if you feel like it.

I usually drink the raw eggs banana smoothie in the morning. The thing about a smoothie is you can drink it at one go because it’s delicious and easy to drink. Since we have the tendency to drink it quickly, our stomach has no chance to make enough acid for digestion. It’s advisable to drink the smoothie slowly while savoring it. Your gut will thank you.
It’s unbelievable that something ordinary like an egg can be so nutritious, healing and not to mention tasty.
Raw Eggs Banana Smoothie
Adapted from a recipe of an awakened being
2 raw eggs or 4-6 raw eggs if you’re doing strenuous work, pasture-raised and organic or free-range
2 frozen/room temperature bananas
1 teaspoon hand-crushed/whole bee pollen (optional)
1/4 cup raw milk or plain whole yogurt
2-4 tablespoons organic extra virgin coconut oil
2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar with the mother, organic and raw
Lugol’s solution of iodine (optional)
*This method uses a hand blender. You can easily adapt it to a regular blender.
1. Place frozen or room temperature bananas in a cup/jar large enough for a hand blender. Then, crack two or more eggs.
2. Add raw milk and crushed bee pollen (optional). Blend until the ingredients are well-blended. Remove the hand blender.
3. Add organic extra virgin coconut oil, organic apple cider vinegar with the mother and Lugol’s solution of iodine (optional) to the smoothie. Mix well with a wooden or ceramic spoon.
4. Finally, sprinkle some hand-crushed/whole bee pollen on the smoothie. Best serve cold. You can drink from the cup/jar directly or pour to a nice glass.
