Happy Birthday Chester! My golden retriever turns 8 today. You’re still cute as ever despite turning 61 (human years). 😛 We celebrated his birthday a day earlier with a simple peanut butter carrot cake. The drooling was controllable but not the barking! Haha
A cake for my birthday boy!
Clockwise from top left: peanut butter (crunchy type), honey and shredded carrot
Mix everything in a bowl: flour, baking soda, vegetable oil, egg and the above ingredient.
Pour mixture into a 6.5″ pan. Bake in oven for 180°C.
Let the cake cool.
For frosting the number ‘8’, I use mashed banana (1) and a handful of kibbles also mashed.
Chester enjoying his peanut butter carrot cake. The cake is moist and not sweet at all with a little hint of salt (from the peanut butter). The size is perfect for one dog.

OK, I really have to buckle up and bake this for the boys…just to spoil them! Thanks for recipe!
Welcome. Do refer to the original recipe. I omit vanilla and use plain flour instead of white flour. I’m gonna make peanut butter cookies for him later since I have peanut butter leftovers.
