I made this banana peanut butter ice-cream for my golden’s 10th birthday few months back. The recipe is super easy because it involves only 2 ingredient – banana and peanut butter. Both ingredient are dog friendly and are also my dog’s favorite. Chester only gets to eat peanut butter in super rare occasion compared to banana as the latter is healthier. Super important for this recipe is the equipment to make the ice-cream… not an ice-cream maker but a powerful blender or food processor.
Two Ingredient Banana Peanut Butter Ice-Cream
Adapted from Two Peas & Their Pod
4 large very ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1. Slice banana into 1/2 inches. Layer cling wrap or baking sheet on a baking pan and arrange banana slices in a single layer. Freeze for an hour to two.
2. Place banana slices into powerful blender or food processor. Blend until creamy and smooth. Add peanut butter and blend until combine.
3. Serve immediately if soft ice-cream consistency is preferred or freeze for few hours for firmer ice-cream.
