When we were staying at Emerald Waters Hotel Trendy, we passed by AHA Cafe at least twice daily. This is because the cafe is less than a minute walk from our hotel. On our last night (day 3) in Hanoi, we decided to visit this cafe that’s been drawing our attention daily with its fragrant coffee and crowd.
While in Hanoi, we wanted to try Cộng Cà Phê but somehow couldn’t find the right time. In total, we sampled two coffee places in Hanoi, and they are AHA Cafe and the rather disappointing Cafe Giảng.
I find Aha Cafe’s logo simple and yet captivating.
The café was almost empty when we came around 8pm after our dinner. It’s probably because of dinner time. AHA Cafe has 3 floors, and it’s advisable to sit on the 2nd or 3rd floor unless you’re a smoker. We sat at the top floor by the balcony which overlooks the streets below.
Our order took quite a bit of time to arrive but we didn’t mind as we got to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and the views down below.
Cà phê sữa (black coffee with condensed milk) @ 28,000 VND (~RM5.00). My sis ordered this and she said it’s smooth and delicious.
Cà phê cốt dừa đá (iced coconut milk coffee) @ 38,000 VND (~RM6.85). The coconut milk aka santan is very fragrant and balanced perfectly with the coffee. I love it very much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our chill time at AHA Cafe. There are couples of AHA Cafe around Old Quarter, so do give it a try.
