On day 2 of our Singapore trip, we decided to have our breakfast at Maxwell Road Food Centre before our visit to Universal Studio. This eatery is located near Chinatown. We took MRT to Chinatown and walked to the food centre which is about 10 mins away.
While my parents and sister opted for fish belly porridge from Zhen Zhen Porridge (stall #54), I decided to find a more interesting breakfast.
I came upon Yan Kee Noodle House which has quite a queue at that time. No more in this photo.
Minced meat noodle (dry) @ S$2.30. At first glance, it looks bland and doesn’t evoke any tastiness. But my God, this is one of the best noodle I’ve eaten for quite awhile. The noodle texture is eggy (if I remember correctly) and really tasty. The combination of ikan bilis and minced meat makes the noodle all the more interesting.
So glad I choose a yummy breakfast because my family later told me the porridge is not delicious. Hehe Btw, I regretted not ordering the fish ball.
