Yi Poh Restaurant @ Petaling Jaya

Ever since I discovered this noodles place in PJ Old Town, I will drop by this restaurant whenever I’m in the area. The noodles are nice in my book but could be better. However there’s one noodle dish that stand out from the rest particularly according to my taste buds. Read on to find out which one is it.

Yi Poh Restaurant @ Petaling Jaya
The ambiance is not bad. The restaurant is a corner shop lot so there’s lots of seating available. Warm food come very swiftly. That’s what I like about their service. You can never go really hungry here.

Condiments @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Must-have green chilies and chili oil (very spicy) to accompany the noodles. Not for me. I prefer mine ‘kosong’ (without). Go to the counter and request for their special chili if you’re looking for more adventure.

Yi Poh Restaurant menu. Judging from the menu the loh c fun and mee must be their signature dishes since they have the name Yi Poh at the front.

Order Forms @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Fill in the order form and pass to the waiter or you can request the waiter to write for you if you’re lazy!

Dry Loh C Fun @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Dry loh c fun @ RM5.00. The loh c fun noodle is the long type and it doesn’t taste like one. The overall taste is not bad. Give the noodles some mixing and you’re ready to dig in.

Dry Mee @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Dry mee @ RM5.00.

Dry Hakka Mee @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Dry hakka mee @ RM5.00. I bet you can see by now the sides are all the same (char siew, minced pork and spring onions) for all these noodles. The only different is the noodle types.

Hor Fun Soup @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Hor Fun soup @ RM5.00. Now this is my absolute favorite. The first day I ordered this, I fell in love with it. And on days I didn’t order this, I miss it.

Just look at the color of the soup. I love the soup but I don’t really like their char siew. Gimme better quality char siew please.

Fried Wanton @ Yi Poh Restaurant Menu, Petaling Jaya
Fried wanton (4 pieces) @ RM3. This is a must for my dad. He loves this.

Yi Poh Restaurant @ Petaling Jaya
This restaurant is fairly new. I think they just opened this year. Their main branch is in Seremban if I’m not mistaken. Give it a go if you happen to be in PJ Old Town area.

The char siew on the noodles looks very good. I’ll try to go there this weekend!

I dislike their char siew actually. All lean meat only. Tell me what you think later even if ‘boh ho chiak’.

Hmm, thought I replied you. So… what idea did I gave you?

I found their food is just normal and nothing special. Eventhough the barbecue pork is slightly lean but tasty and the food served quick and quite big portion.

Hi Frankie, I agree with you it’s normal but have you tried the hor fun? I super like it.
