My number one favorite satay restaurant to date is from the fame and yet some say over-rated Sate Kajang Haji Samuri. My encountered with their satay at R&R Awan Besar many years ago changes everything. It’s what I called ‘The satay’. That’s how a satay would taste like in a perfect world. Besides their branch at R&R Awan Besar, I’ve tried their outlets at Bukit Tinggi, Klang and Taipan, USJ which both has closed down since. And now, I’ve finally tasted their satay at their main outlet in Kajang. Perhaps I’m lucky, because all their satay tasted awesomely good. Never a dull one.
This was the satay which I mentioned in Nyok Lan Kajang Satay post, the one which I packed to go. If you want to know, amongst the 4 outlets of Sate Kajang Haji Samuri, the satay at Taipan, USJ branch were the clear winner. Memories from nearly 5 years ago still clearly etched in my mind. It was the best. Best satay and best company (with my parents).

Ohmygod. *saliva dropping* Onions and cucumbers are a must. Nyok Lan didn’t provide onions. We ordered 20 pieces satay @ RM0.80 per piece and 2 pieces ketupat @ RM0.60 per piece.
Their yummy peanut sauce/gravy. We usually have leftovers and we keep it for char kuey teow later.

Ohmy! Gorgeous satay… 😍 Just enough fats, enough charred and heat.

I stays near Kajang. I havent try so called Kajang satay before.
But, I wanna recommend is the satay at my hometown, very delicious. The shop only open on 10pm and satay will be out of stock on 12am. Somemore, you need to bbq your own satay due to too many people… Satay is mainly pork and chicken.
I think the special one is the sauce..

I haven’t tried Kajang satay before which my friends and relatives all raved about it. The pictures does look super good….very yummylicous looking! I should try making some on my own but then I malas, so I go to my friend’s restaurant and eat there 🙂
