Delicious Biryani Rice @ Central Market Fish Head Curry Restaurant, Bangi

A week ago my family and me made an impromptu trip to Bangi for biryani rice. My dad has been telling us about this delicious biryani rice for the longest time. Every time when I said I wanted to eat biryani rice, he will tell us about the one he had at Bangi. Dad reminiscent about that biryani rice for many years and finally we made the trip to Bangi last week to see how true were his words.

My dad didn’t know the shop name or address. All he knew was by its location. Thankfully we did not get lost. The biryani restaurant is located inside Bangi Utama Shopping Complex (beside KFC).

Taken on the way up the stairs. I love this atmosphere. Colorful and so Malaysian. Because they have limited seating downstairs, we had our lunch upstairs.

Sis and mine @ RM8.80 (we shared a plate): biryani rice with hard-boiled egg, chicken curry, acar and cabbage. Gravy laden with chicken and fish curry. Best eaten with bare hands!

The biryani rice were tender and perfect including the side dishes and papadam chips. Everything came together so nicely in my mouth. Basically all were wonderful except one thing. It was not spicy enough according to mom and me. All in all, complete satisfaction!!!

Only after I came down did I realized the name of this restaurant. Hmm… so they’re famous for their fish head curry? (since it’s on their shop name) Then I must try next time.

Remember my sis and me shared a plate? That’s because wanted to watch our weight. Little did we know it’s a blessing as we head to our next unplanned food agenda. Stay tuned!

Wow! I want biryani rice! So delicious!!! By the way, is it biryani or briyani? I had biryani rice on board AirAsia during my flight back from Bangkok and I loved it! (AirAsia spelt it as briyani in their menu – which is correct?) If I can enjoy basic biryani in the plane, I am sure I will really like the biryani rice you had here!!
