Pizzeria Rustica @ Rome, Italy

After our visit to Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on day 4, we stopped at Pizzeria Rustica near Ottaviano Metro for a quick lunch bite. You can’t be in Italy without tasting pizza. After all Italy is the birth place of pizza! If you want to be precise, Naples is where pizza originated.

Pizzeria Rustica is a popular pizza joint in Rome. You’ll see one in every few blocks. 🙂

The pizza is sold by the slice. You tell them the portion you want. It’s priced by weight.

We bought 1 slice each of funghi e pomodoro (mushroom and tomato) and spinaci mozzarella e pomodoro (spinach, mozzarella and tomato) for €2.68. Cheap yeah?

There’s no seating, you either eat standing or take-away. We ate ours just outside the shop where there’s a small rest area.

The pizza were delicious. Everything’s good. I can put no fault in it. Try it when you’re in Rome!

A great concept of buying according to size and weight, can try many flavours at once.

Too bad it’s too far away from me. Else, i would like to have a bite.
