My sis is a bread lover and she started learning to make bread by herself not too long ago. So it doesn’t make sense if we come to Paris without visiting any bread shop. Poilâne is one of the most famous bread shop in France. It took us quite sometime to find this place at Saint-Germain-des-Prés district but eventually we found it. We went there after our fun outing at Roland Garros!
Poilâne bakery at Rue Du Cherche-Midi. It has 2 more branches in Paris and 2 in London.
Not sure what the one in the middle is (anyone?) but the two on the right is pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) and croissant (far right).
Loaf bread. I thought of buying this for breakfast but don’t think we can finish it.
Poilâne miches (loaf) is their signature bread. We bought a few slices.
Many types of rye bread.
My most favorite purchase is this… pain au chocolat. It was soft with melt in your mouth chocolate. Ahh delicious! The best pain au chocolat I’ve ever had.
Total purchase: €3.44 (Poilâne miches, pain au chocolat and rye bread).
