Cafe Dan @ Tianzifang, Taikang Lu, Shanghai

We patronized a rather cool cafe recommended by our travel mate by the name of Cafe Dan at Tianzifang, Taikang Lu in Shanghai on day 4. We were told the place has a cool and weird staircase, delicious food and most importantly lovely restaurant setting.

This Japanese-owned cafe is famous for its coffee, wine and Japanese food. Our main aim is actually to take photos. We planned to order at least a serving of food while being there since we saw how expensive the food and drinks are. But were told each person must order at least something. I think at that time I was choking blood. The cheapest drink is 40 Yuan!!!


With 5 of us, we ordered 4 drinks (orange juice, ice lemon tea, grape tea, carrot drink) and tiramisu just before noon. Just like this it totaled to over RM100+. Now you know why I was choking blood. They’re just light-weight snack and drinks. This is my most expensive visit to a restaurant in terms of value vs worth. LOL

I had some stomach issue therefore refrain from coffee but funny none of my travel mates order coffee which I think is too bad. Let me repeat again, that cup of orange cost me RM20. Hahahaha

Tiramisu at 50 Yuan. *chokes blood again* 5 of us shared this. Hahaha It was the yummiest tiramisu EVER. I never get to sample any tiramisu in Europe but this I think deserve a very big clap of hand. So aromatic, soft and just what a tiramisu should be. Now that got me into thinking, should I order other dishes? Yes only when I’m rich. I’ll come back for the coffee and food.
