I made this banana peanut butter ice-cream for my golden’s 10th birthday few months back. The recipe is super easy because it involves only 2 ingredient – banana and peanut butter. Both ingredient are dog friendly and are also my dog’s favorite. Chester only gets to eat peanut butter in super rare occasion compared to banana as the latter is healthier. Super important for this recipe is the equipment to make the ice-cream… not an ice-cream maker but a powerful blender or food processor.
Fun and easy!
Let’s make ice-cream!
A day before Chester’s birthday, I reserved these golden precious for his birthday dessert.
Slice ripe banana into 1/2 inches. Then arrange on a baking pan layered with cling wrap or baking sheet. Freeze for an hour to 2.
Place ’em in a powerful blender and blend until creamy and smooth. Add peanut butter and blend until combine. You can eat it like this if you prefer soft ice-cream or freeze to harden for few hours.
A happy dog with his birthday dessert. He was waiting for my command ‘OK’ to eat. 🙂
Chester of course loved the ice-cream. Me think it’s not bad either.
