I made this banana peanut butter ice-cream for my golden’s 10th birthday few months back. The recipe is super easy because it involves only 2 ingredient – banana and peanut butter. Both ingredient are dog friendly and are also my dog’s favorite. Chester only gets to eat peanut butter in super rare occasion compared to banana as the latter is healthier. Super important for this recipe is the equipment to make the ice-cream… not an ice-cream maker but a powerful blender or food processor.
Two Ingredient Banana Peanut Butter Ice-Cream
Adapted from Two Peas & Their Pod
4 large very ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1. Slice banana into 1/2 inch discs. Layer cling wrap or baking sheet on a baking pan and arrange banana slices in a single layer. Freeze for 1 to 2 hours.
2. Place banana slices into powerful blender or food processor. Puree until mixture is creamy and smooth. Add peanut butter and puree to combine.
3. Serve immediately for soft ice-cream consistency or freeze for few hours for harder ice-cream.
