The discovery of Chef Loong Restaurant late last year was somewhat accidental. I rarely go to that part of SS2 where Chef Loong is located. My usual hunt is around the major SS2 ‘square’ area whereby my favorite Taiwan Noodle House is located.

Though I’ve seen the shop from far, I’d no idea what kind of food are served there. Guess I’m kinda out of date seeing that I hailed from Klang Valley. Still it’s not too late yeah?

Deep Fried Netting Prawn @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Deep fried netting prawn @ RM4.80. Love the crispiness but it’s a little dry overall.

Fried Salad Prawn @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Fried salad prawn @ RM5.30. Crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful prawn inside. YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Highly recommended!

Steamed Glutinous Duck with Dry Scallop @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Steamed glutinous duck with dry scallop @ RM4.00. Soft ‘gooey’ (haha) glutinous rice… yum! Couldn’t taste the duck but I don’t care. Haha

Pork Ribs Claypot Rice @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Pork Ribs Claypot Rice. This is not my order but I can smell the delicious pork ribs from where I was siting! Hehe

The pork ribs claypot rice and snow ice mango sago (below) plus I’ve forgotten another item came in a set @ RM9.50.

Snow Ice Mango Sago @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Snow ice mango sago. My mom’s favorite!

Sesame Cream @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Sesame cream (black sesame) or chi ma wu @ RM2.20. Unfortunately can’t beat the one I had at Hong Kong. Hehe

Steamed Egg with Fresh Milk @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Steamed egg with fresh milk @ RM3.80. When I saw this on the menu I thought I’ve found one here that can fight with Yee Shun Milk Company (Hong Kong) unfortunately the taste and texture failed miserably. I couldn’t even finish half of it. Not recommended at all. Perhaps it wasn’t my day.

Ginger Tea with Glutinous Rice @ Chef Loong Restaurant

Ginger tea with glutinous rice @ RM3.80.

Total bill: RM35.05 (for 3 person)

Although the food served (mostly) are in small portions (dim sum ‘kind’ of portion) I don’t find that as a turn off. It’s just nice for me. When I go there again, I will be ordering the fried pork ribs, siu loong pau… and many more. :) *wipes saliva

Hi Glo-w, yes you’re right. Funny my dad complaint saying the food is expensive. Hehe
