Cafe de Coral @ Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong

Not knowing where to dine after returning from our Ocean Park trip, we went to Far East Finance Centre looking for dinner (just opposite Ocean Park bus stop at Admiralty).

I chanced upon a restaurant named Cafe de Coral and decided to try our luck there. Turned out Cafe de Coral is the largest Chinese fast food chain in the world with over 40 years experience! (How come I’ve never heard of this place before? :P)

Cafe de Coral Menu @ Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong
Upon entering you would be greeted by the extensive menu board. We had a really hard time choosing!

Baked Seafood, Spinach & Mushroom with Rice and Seafood Chowder Soup with Puff Pastry @ Cafe de Coral, Admiralty, Hong Kong
Baked seafood, spinach and mushroom with rice and seafood chowder soup with puff pastry @ HK$38.00 (RM15.90).

Ahh what a long name! The baked seafood was really good but it must be eaten while it’s warm. Couldn’t say the same for the soup. The chowder was a little tad too watery and not much ingredients in it. And yet this set was sold out by the time we walked out of this place. Serving time for this dish took quite awhile. So be prepared to wait if you plan to order this dish.

Baked Thick-Cut Pork Chop with Rice @ Cafe de Coral, Admiralty, Hong Kong
Baked thick-cut pork chop with rice and Hong Kong milk tea. You have a choice of soup, tea, coffee and soft drink. I choose the tea of course! At HK$38.00 this dinner set has got to be one of the best meals I’ve had in Hong Kong so far. The pork chop was marinated to perfection and the rice was soft, sweet and tangy due to the tomatoes. I was blown away by this dish. Highly recommended by me. 🙂

Cafe de Coral serves delicious fast food to what I noticed mostly working Hong Kongese. Maybe because this branch is located in working district. The dining place is spot clean and nicely done. And yes for sure I’m coming back for more good food!

OMG, I made the HK styled baked pork chop yesterday from this site:

It was so good, and will have to make again! It suits the mat salleh’s taste buds!
