I came to know about Primrose Bakery from my sister. She bought the cookbook Cupcakes from the Primrose Bakery via Book Depository early this year (tsk we’ve yet to try the recipes though). So when we were planning our London trip, my sis suggested to give Primrose Bakery a visit.
We visited the one at Covent Garden. Just when you open the door to the bakery, your nose is stuffed with yummlicious smell of icing!
Cupcakes galore. Ahh so tempting!
The bakery is cutely decorated.
Seeing that it was noon and we’re about to have lunch, we decided to take-away only 1 piece of cupcake. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to taste the cupcake until nearly midnight!
Rose cupcake @ £1.95. (Tsk please don’t mind the weak photography. It was a very tiring day for me. :P)
I love the rose buttercream icing. It’s very smooth and flavourful unfortunately I am not a fan of their sponge cake. It’s too dry. The cake taste like any other mediocre cupcakes. Definitely not worth the hype?! There are some good reviews and a few not so good one in the internet. You be the judge when you try it. 😉

I’m not a fan of any frosting/icing. I find them too sweet and cupcakes to me is like eating a small portion of a sponge cake! I will take carrot cake any time! ;P
I’m the opposite of you. I like icing. I don’t really fancy carrot cake. Haha
