Mezze Table’s Borek & Drago’s Bratwurst Sausage @ Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne CBD

If you have read my Melbourne day 2 travelogue, you would know that I love Queen Victoria Market very much. In fact I visited Queen Vic Market twice in 2 days! It’s a heaven place to shop for fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, dairy products, souvenirs and FOOD!!!

On my first day in QVM, I had my first borek from Mezze Table ‘The Borek Stall’. Borek is a Turkish food where you have baked pastries filled with yummy fillings.

The one that I tried have spinach, cheese & parsley. I had a spicy potato & veggies borek on my 2nd day. Personally I like the one with spinach better. Best eaten when it’s warm. Borek @ AUD2.50.

Also on my 2nd day at Vic Market, I had a pork bratwurst sausage ‘dog’ from Drago’s. Initially I wanted to try the one from The Bratwust Shop but the queue were very long. Drago’s had many customers too and it was easier for me to maneuver my way through as Drago’s stall is located at the corner.

Spicy pork bratwurst @ AUD5.50.
Yum-yum. It’s really good.
The bread is crispy on the outside. Excellent pork bratwurst!

Make sure you leave your tummy empty if you know you’re going to Queen Victoria Market ya. 😉

Wahh.. I miss Queen Vic market food…

Anyway, miss the sausages there – especially since you can request for sauteed mushrooms and onions with it.

BTW, do visit my new blog that I’ve setup with my friends – http://www.lunchkaki.com
